This year, you also may have faced too many empty days, or an overwhelming workload; financial worries for yourself or for your loved ones; unexpected responsibilities; or lots of time spent isolated and alone. And a lot of distressing news over which you have no control. As the saying goes “You can’t pour from an empty cup”, I gave myself permission for self-care.
Whilst doing so, I’ve also collected my thoughts about my values and the things that make me truly happy, from small things like a plate of pasta 😊 to more complex things. I reflected on my past experiences and if all still ‘fits together’. When it comes to my Life Vision – Have my values changed over the past year? Am I still ‘ME’ and am I living the life I want to live?
Making time for this ‘soul-searching’ helps me to make sense of what has happened, where I am now, and, eventually, finding my way in moving forward with living my life. I’ve regained focus again on the things that matter to me most and things I want to accomplish over the next months & years.
I can only recommend for you to do the same. And when doing so, I’m sure you’ll revisit old dreams, and create some exciting new ones, too 😊 – just like did!
